I HATE these contests. Why? They never consider maybe people outside of the US would like to be given a chance too

Actually, with this one an the other maxim (?) date thing, I can understand why they only want Americans to participate. If they have to fly someone in from around the world or whatever, that may not work. But I'm noticing it more and more that for most contests non-Americans are excluded. Like a Legend of the Seeker thing where all you have to do is record a video and upload it (no reason someone in Europe couldn't) and you can win 5 (probably large) signed prints of the cast. Why on Earth is it impossible to send those overseas? It'll cost a tiny bit extra, probably less than it cost to print those pictures. Still, only US residents are allowed to participate. These things just don't make sense to me whatsoever.

maybe cuz they have to deal with the passport and all the ins crap they have to do to bring someone to this country ............idk ....i just dont like the fact that yoou have to make an account............

And like I said, maybe for this one I can understand since like you said, otherwise they'll have to fly someone in. It's just far easier to have the contest open for US citizens only. But when it comes to the LotS contest, I just don't get it. The only difference is they have to add the country line to the address and put on one extra stamp

They could make it for worldwide peeps, and add that if the winner isn't from a US state, then the winner is responsible for VISA, passport, extra flight costs (they can pay a percentage or something), etc.

With regards to the previous 'meet Gina' competition, didn't General Motors go under due to the economy? I think I heard something like that a while back.
